Poas Volcano & Doka Coffee Tour

We begin this expedition with our transportation in Jaco or Los Suenos area. We will pick you up at 7:00 am, and start our drive to The Poas Volcano National Park, where there is a noticeable change in temperature and exuberant vegetation of the cloud forest.

This beautiful Poas Volcano is an active 2,708 meter (8,885 ft) stratovolcano.

This is an easy guided walk to the crater viewpoint, this crater is over a mile across and 1050 feet deep. We will have time to enjoy this impressive main crater with sulfur fumaroles.

We will then continue with an amazing lunch at Fredo Fresas, one of the most popular restaurants in the Poas area.

After lunch we continue to the Doka Coffee Estate for the amazing coffee tour, in an actual coffee plantation. We will learn the ancient techniques used by the experts to produce some of the best coffee in Costa Rica and around the world. From the careful process involved in growing, harvesting, and roasting the Golden Bean, we are also going to take a magical moment to savor the delicious product.
